About the Course
PREP Academy equips individuals with the skills and experience needed for employment and career advancement.
PREP Academy Participants work part-time as city employees, engaging in city beautification, assisting with food services for individuals experiencing homelessness, and contributing to special projects.
The academy is particularly beneficial for those entering or re-entering the workforce, especially individuals with limited work experience or skills gaps. It provides a structured environment where participants can gain hands-on experience, receive training, and build confidence.
Job skills training includes:
Computer literacy
Workplace etiquette
Safety
Resume Writing
Interviewing
Helping participants develop a strong work history
A new cycle of P.R.E.P. Academy starts every 90 days.
Work Hours: Approximately 26 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
